Adding a Client
This article will cover how to add a new client on Nexus.
To begin your planning journey with Nexus, the first step is adding a client.
There are a few different spots on the application that will allow you initiate the client onboarding process:
1. The Nexus Home Page
2. The 'Client Onboarding' link from the sidebar
3. The Client List
All three of these sections will initiate the client onboarding form seen below:
Once you have filled in the required fields in the form above and press 'Save', you will be directed to the client profile page.
From the client profile page, you can enter the client's contact information, and also add a co-client or other family members.
Adding Contact Information
To add a client's contact information, you can press the '+' icon under 'Contact' which will open the following form:
Once you have entered the relevant details and press 'Save', the client's contact information will now appear on the client profile and on the sidebar.
Adding a Co-Client
The next section of the client profile allows you to add a co-client or other family member to the client's profile. A co-client can have any relationship to the client. The difference between a co-client and another member is that a co-client will be able to own accounts that are part of any plans generated for this client. Their retirement and life-expectancy ages will also be included in the client's financial profile and proposal plans.
To add a co-client, press the '+' under 'Family & Other Members'. This will bring up the following form. After entering the co-client's details in this form, ensure that the 'Set this person as Co-Client' box is checked before pressing 'Save'.
Once saved, the co-client will appear on the client profile. The co-client will always be indicated by the medal symbol.
Adding Other Members
To add other members, you can press the '+' above 'Add another person's information'. You can add as many other members as you would like. Please note that other members cannot own accounts that are part of the financial profile.
